Learn from the best. Facilitated by Glenda Irwin
This Mindfulness and Relationships Workshop was developed and is facilitated by Mindfulness Works lead trainer, Glenda Irwin in response to people’s requests for more mindfulness practices, especially those that are helpful in our day-to-day lives as well as the major life challenges we all encounter.
Glenda began teaching mindfulness to children in 2010 as a response to her own challenges as a parent. She trained with Amy Saltzman (USA ‘Still Quiet Place’) and went on to write many courses and parent/child mindfulness lessons. She is the creator of ‘Mindful Colouring for Kids’.
Glenda is trained in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and CFT (Compassion-Focussed Therapy). Glenda’s level of coaching qualification is that of Trainer Master Coach whereby she supports ANZCAL coaches who use mindfulness in theirs and their clients’ responses to change. Her principle teachers are Joseph Goldstein, Rick Hanson, Dr Paul Gilbert and her own son, Cameron Irwin. Glenda is director of Mindfulness Matters — teaching mindfulness to organisations and the general public.
“Glenda turned on a light at the end of a very, very dark tunnel and paved the road for me to find my own way, not just with my thoughts and emotions, but life in general. Glenda has provided me with the tools to continue practicing mindfulness and meditation, including her guided meditations which were and continue to be beyond helpful, especially at the beginning when I was so overwhelmed with where to even start. I cannot speak highly enough of not only Glenda’s work, practice and what she is about but also who she is as a person – someone who is open-minded, professional and compassionate.” — Jocelyn Homan
