She also has formal qualifications in social analysis, research and management with 30 years experience in public and private workplaces.

She believes we heal from there, rather than from a sense of lack and a need to fix or change anything. Catherine works with people experiencing trauma, anxiety, high stress, emotional reactivity, depression, busy minds and sleeping difficulties.
“Everyone matters and we’re all ok. Our life challenges are the opportunities that life gives us to grow and evolve. Mindfulness is a way to find harmony with life just as it is.”
Cherise came to Australia from Canada in 1989 on a personal adventure quest.
Along the way in 1998, some difficult life circumstances led her to take up a regular practice of mindfulness and yoga. Truly, this ongoing practice has sustained her through thick and thin over the intervening years.
The internal changes Cherise has experienced are compelling and led her to teacher training through some reputable Australian training organisations in the early 2000s. This provided rich learning and development of her understanding of how powerful these skills of mindfulness actually are, how fundamental they are to a life well lived.
Cherise is a member of Meditation Australia as well as a qualified teacher of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course, through Mindfulness Training Institute of Australia. She is also a senior teacher with Yoga Australia.
Cherise specialises in teaching meditation techniques that support calm, resilience and healthy choices in living. These include mindfulness meditation practices, specific breathing techniques and therapeutic yoga.
